Cinnamon Crown

Ingredients

  • 1 pie dough (sablée, pastry/feuillettée is even better)
  • 1/4 cup (56 g) butter, melted (or less)
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp cinnamon

Recipe

  1. Oven: 450 °F = 210 °C.
  2. Spread the melted butter across all the dough, leaving out the edges (0,5 cm). Keep a little butter.
  3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the dough. Keep a little.
  4. Roll up a dough. Cut it in half length-wise.
  5. Twist the two halves together, with the open layers out. Close into a crown or leave as a braid.
  6. Top with remaining butter and sugar-cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 5-10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 °F = 180 °C and bake for 25 minutes.
