Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble

Made it many times in Malabry and loved it, one of my first pinterest recipes.
Made it on 06/04/2022 with strawberries and pears, cutting out 20g of each sugar in the topping and the sugar completely in the topping, I found it lacks taste, it’s a bit sour.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 stalks rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces 
  • 2 cups (250 g) strawberries
  • 1/2 cup (125 g) sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup (155 g) flour
  • 1/2 cup (45 g) oats
  • 1/3 cup (90 g) sugar
  • 1/3 cup (75 g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (133 g) butter, melted

Recipe

  1. Oven: 350 °F = 180 °C
  2. Peel the rhubarb, cut in chunks. Cut strawberries.
  3. Filling: Small pot: cook the rhubarb with the sugar, low heat, 10 min. Add strawberries. Pour into a dish.
  4. Topping: mix all dry ingredients, add the butter, make crumbles.
  5. Crumble the topping over the filling.
  6. Bake 40 minutes.
