Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • 28 ounces (830 mL) can crushed tomatoes
  • 28 ounces (830 mL) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 14 ounces (415 mL, 2 cups) can chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/3 cup (75 g) butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 15-20 basil leaves

Recipe

  1. Combine the tomatoes, broth and garlic, bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to low, stir in the sugar and the butter, mix until dissolved.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream until combined. Chop the basil and stir in.
