Ingredients
Sugar cinnamon mixture
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Bread loaf
- 1/2 cup (113 g) butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk (room T°)
Apple mixture
- 2 apples
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 3 tbsp milk
Recipe
Bread loaf
- Oven: 350 °F = 180 °C
- Butter + flour a dish
- Beat sugar and butter until smooth and creamy. Add in the eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Add flour and baking powder, mix. Then milk and mix in until smooth.
Apple mixture
- Peel apples and chop small but not fine. Toss with sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter, add half of the apples mixture.
Sugar cinnamon mixture
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle half of it on top of the apples. Pour remaining batter, then apples, then sugar mixture.
- Lightly pat apples into batter and swirl brown sugar mixture through the apples with a knife.
- Bake 60 minutes.
Glaze
- Mix powdered sugar with 1 tbsp milk or more until the right texture. It could need 10 seconds in microwave before pouring.
- Pour on loaf after it’s completely cooled down.
