Pie crust (pâte sablée)

1 crust

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) cold butter
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Recipe

  1. Cut butter into pieces.
  2. Mix flour, salt, sugar. Add butter, mix with a blender.
  3. Add water, work with hands to make a dough but do not overwork (add max. 2 more tbsp water if needed).
  4. Flatten dough into disk. Wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough out into a floured surface.
  6. Oven: 375 °F = 190 °C. 30 min.
