Key lime pie

Ingredients

Pie crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker (butter cookies)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 7 tbsp (100 g) butter, melted

Filling

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (250 g ?)
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (4 limes)
  • 1 tsp lime zest

Recipe

Pie crust

  1. Crush cookies in a blender.
  2. Mix cookies, brown sugar, cinnamon, pinch of salt. Add melted butter and stir.
  3. Put baking paper at the bottom of a pie dish. Drop the cookie mixture and press tight to make a crust.
  4. Oven: 325 °F = 165 °C. Bake crust for 10 minutes, or until it browns.

Filling

  1. Mix condensed milk, lime juice and zest.
  2. Whip whipping cream. Fold into the lime mixture.
  3. Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate for 4 hours to overnight.
