Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups + 1 1/2 tbs (375 g) flour
- 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp yeast
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) milk
- 3 tbsp (40 g) butter, melted
- 2 eggs (room T°)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Filling
- 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, melted
Recipe
Dough
- Mix yeast with water, cover, rise 5 min.
- Melt the butter, add the milk, vanilla extract.
- Mix 2 cups + 2tbsp (260 g) flour, sugar and salt. Pour in all wet ingredients. Mix for 2 minutes.
- Add eggs one by one. Add 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp (100 g), mix until smooth (very sticky). Cover, rise 1 hour.
Filling
- Whisk sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Knead the dough until smooth (1 min). Rest 5 min.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle 12×20 inches (30×50 cm).
- Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Slice the dough 6×6 squares.
- Layer the squares in the loaf pan, rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Oven: 350 °F = 175 °C.
- Bake for 35 min.
