Ingredients
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (56 g) butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
Recipe
- Oven: 350 °F = 180 °C.
- Butter and flour a cake pan.
- Mix butter, egg, brown sugar, oil, vanilla.
- Add buttermilk.
- Add flour, nutmeg, baking soda, salt (optional) and mix.
- Pour half of the batter in the pan.
- Mix the white sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle most of it on the batter by hand.
- Pour rest of the batter. Sprinkle rest of cinnamon-sugar by hand.
- Bake for 55 min.

- 25/09/2020: the dough was quite liquid, with flour lumps, but it cooked fine. the sugar was sprinkled by hand. 45 min, could have stayed a bit longer, but with aluminium foil for the last 10-15 min
