Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (245 g) cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cups (355 mL) buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups (212 g) flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 8 tbsp (226 g) butter, melted
- 8 oz (227 g) unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup (50-100 g) sugar
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) honey
- 3 eggs
Recipe
- Mix cornmeal and buttermilk, rest 30 min (room T°).
- Oven: 375 °F = 190 °C.
- Butter and flour a square pan.
- Add butter, applesauce, sugar, honey, eggs to cornmeal mixture.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
- Bake 23-30 min.
