Butter chicken

Ingredients

Chicken marinade

  • 2.2 lbs (1 kg) chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Sauce

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tbsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp salt 
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • ¾ cup cream
  • 2 tbsp (28 g) butter
  • fresh coriander

Recipe

Marinade

  • Chop chicken in 1 inch cubes.
  • Combine all marinade ingredients, massage chicken, marinate overnight or while preparing curry.

Sauce

  • Chop onions and mince garlic.
  • Heat oil in pan. Cook onions super slowly, about 20 min, adding water if they brown.
  • Add garlic. Stir in spices and salt. Add tomatoes. Then add cream. Blend.
  • Simmer sauce. Add chicken. Cover and cook for 12 min.
  • Stir in butter, season.
