Ingredients
- 1-2 kg onions
- 5 cardamoms
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 5 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp tamarind paste
- 5-6 curry leaves
- 1 pandan leaf
- chili powder
Recipe
- Chop onions in half-rings.
- Pan on medium heat. Add cardamoms, cinnamon, leaves, chili powder.
- Add onions. Cook for 10 min until caramelized.
- Add tamarind and sugar. Season with salt.
- Store in jars.
