Granola

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (270g) oats
  • 1 cup (150g) almonds, chopped
  • 1/3 cup (36g) ground flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup (58g) coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup (110g) honey (could be halved?)
  • 1/3 cup (77g) brown sugar (could be halved?)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1 egg white (not necessary)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Recipe

  1. Chop almonds and other nuts.
  2. Oven: 325 °F = 163 °C.
  3. Toss together oats, almonds and ground flax seeds. Mix separately coconut oil, honey, brown sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, egg white and salt. Toss oats with it.
  4. Bake 13 min, mix, bake 12-17 min.
  5. Cool to crisp before storing.

history of recipe improvement:
tried it on 10/05/2020, with absolutely everything and it was crunchy and delicious, and quite sweet. I know the egg white and the flax seeds can be skipped, probably some of the sugar as well.
