- 2 sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup quinoa
- 3 tbsp ground flax seed
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 15-ounce (425 g) can black beans
Spicy mayonnaise
- mayonnaise
- lime juice
- sriracha sauce
- garlic powder

Patties
- Oven: 400 °F = 200 °C.
- Half sweet potatoes lengthwise. Poke skin a few times.
- Bake 30-35 min.
- Rinse quinoa. Simmer in a pot with 1 cup water for 10-15 min. Check regularly, because once it absorbs all the water it will start to burn.
- Mix seasoning spices.
- Drain black beans. Mash with sweet potatoes until chunky.
- Fluff the quinoa and add to mash with spices. Mix well.
- For 8 burger patties, 1/3 cup each. Place on a baking paper.
- Bake for 20 min, flip, 20 min.
Spicy mayonnaise
- Mix ingredients until it doesn’t taste so much like mayonnaise. Can be a little spicy.
- Assemble the burgers: Grill bread, spread mayo, add burger, add toppings (no ideal toppings yet found: salad and tomatoes are good), mayonnaise, bread.
