Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 tbsp warm milk
- 2 tsp dry yeast
- 2 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 2 1/2 tbsp butter, room T°
Egg wash
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
Recipe
- Mix bread flour, normal flour, salt. Crumble butter into the flour.
- Add yeast, water, milk, sugar, egg.
- Knead (with machine) 5-7 min (moist, not sticky).
- Cover and rise until doubled 1-2 h.
- Divide into 8 balls (weigh it). Place on baking sheet, cover loosely, rise until doubled (1-2 h).
- Oven: 400 °F = 200 °C.
- Pan of water at the bottom.
- Beat egg with 1 tbsp water. Brush, sprinkle sesame, poppy seeds or whatever.
- Bake 15 min, turning halfway.
