Chocolate chip cookies

Commercial-style Chocolate chip cookies

They are too soft and not crunchy for me, but this is Matthaeus’s favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  1. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy (2 min).
  2. Add vanilla and egg. Mix until the batter is smooth.
  3. Slowly dry ingredients, mix until dough just comes together.
  4. Mix in chocolate chips.
  5. 3 tbsp of dough per cookie, place on cookie sheet, cover, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  6. Oven: 375 °F = 190 °C.
  7. Place cookie dough balls on a baking sheet and bake for 9-12 minutes.
