Commercial-style Chocolate chip cookies
They are too soft and not crunchy for me, but this is Matthaeus’s favorite.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (113 g) butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Recipe
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy (2 min).
- Add vanilla and egg. Mix until the batter is smooth.
- Slowly dry ingredients, mix until dough just comes together.
- Mix in chocolate chips.
- 3 tbsp of dough per cookie, place on cookie sheet, cover, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Oven: 375 °F = 190 °C.
- Place cookie dough balls on a baking sheet and bake for 9-12 minutes.
