Sourdough biscuits

4 biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup (75 g) butter, cold & grated
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives or green onions
  • 1/2 cup sourdough starter

Recipe

  1. Oven: 425 °F = 218 °C.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix the butter in until crumbles.
  4. Stir in the grated cheese and chives. Then slowly add as much sourdough starter as needed until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn out dough onto a floured surface and knead over a couple of times. Flatten the dough and cut into 4 large or 8 small biscuits.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
